On this informative exploration of the Old City of Hyderabad, revisit history with the world famous Salar Jung Museum and a walk through the bazaars in the heart of Hyderabad.
Starting from the Salar Jung Museum, which houses some of the most prized possessions of the Nizam, Salar Jung III, in an extensive collection of exquisite items. The most beautiful exhibit, for which people visit from all over, is the Veiled Rebecca, one of only four in the world, and the only one to lift her veil with her right hand.
We shall then continue our walk through the old precinct of Salar Jung, as we observe the traditional ways of cooking the famous Hyderabadi Biryani, and relish Irani Chai and Nawabi Cuisine at local eateries.
As we walk through Lad Bazaar, we shall have the opportunity to shop for authentic pearls, perfumes, fabric, and much more, as we make our way to Char-Khaman, Pathergatti and Madina Chowk. We shall also get a chance to pay homage to the only-surviving 400-year old earth sculpture in the Old City.
Towards the end of the Walk, we shall follow the path to Charminar, one of the most visited heritage sites in Hyderabad.
