Start the trip by being picked up by our local guide at your hotel, then transfer to his own house in Cam Thanh fishing village. On the way, you can see the peaceful countryside: rice fields with water buffaloes, fishermen with their daily work etc.
You will then get onboard a “Thung Chai” - a bamboo basket boat and enjoy a ride throughout the shady water palm canals and arroyos in the middle of the historical Bay Mau Water Palm forests. Upon arrival, we go ahead to his home to enjoy a home-hosted lunch. We will be welcomed by his family then join them to prepare Vietnamese food under guidance of our family chef. Dishes will include: fried spring roll, Vietnamese pan cake (Banh Xeo), and grilled prawn.
When completed, we will enjoy what we cooked with the host’s family. During the meal, we can also learn some basic Vietnamese dining etiquette such as: how to invite others before eating, how to use chop stick, how to show that you finish your meal etc.
Afterwards our guide will take you back to your hotel. End of our services.
