SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Kampala-Murchison Falls The safari guide will transfer you from your accommodation to the Kayonza airstrip or to Entebbe international airport in Uganda. on arrival at Murchison Falls National park, you will drive to the top of the very spectacular and breathtaking Murchison Falls to view the waters of the great Nile squeeze from a more than one kilometer wide area through a 7 meter gorge. Rest and later dine and slumber at Sambiya river lodge, Paraa Safari Lodge and Red chilli camp.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park following an early breakfast, you will have a morning game drive along the northern banks of the River. During this drive you will see various animals including elephants, waterbucks, hyenas, lions, hartebeests, bushbucks, Cape buffalo, Bohor reed bucks, Rothschild’s giraffes, oribi and if lucky even a leopard. Rest at the lodge as you wait for your lunch. In the afternoon you will have a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. During this cruise you will see and even get the opportunity to take photos of animals at very close proximity. Some of the commonly seen animals include: numerous crocodiles plus the huge Nile hippos basking on the river banks. You will also see several types of birds such as goliath herons, the uncommon shoebill stork, Egyptian geese, cormorants, pelican bee-eaters, Hornbills plus the kingfishers. From here you will go to the top of the falls to marvel at the breathtaking scenery as the Nile drops through a series of cascades below. Return for diner and the overnight at Nile Safari camp, Sambiya river lodge, Masindi Hotel, Paraa Safari Lodge, Busingiro Ecotourist Site and Red chilli camp

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park set off for an early game drive looking for game that you would have not seen the previous day. Later drive back to the lodge for a late breakfast. In the afternoon after your lunch, you will cross the river Nile by ferry and then proceed southwards to Kibale driving through the Albertine Escarpment of the western arm of the Rift valley along the Masindi – Hoima – Fort portal road. The drive will take you through the stunning countryside with views of local homesteads plus plantation farms. In the late evening you will arrive in Fort Portal town located on the foothills of the legendary Rwenzori Mountain. Dine and slumber at Ndali Lodge, or Rwenzori view guest house or the Budget Crater Valley Kibale or even the Sky tree house.

Day 4: Crater Lakes and Amabeere following breakfast continue to the Nyakasura area to view the “breasts” of the prehistoric princess in the Chwezi Kingdom that were cut off and later grew into a scenic rock that continually drips with ‘milk’; you will visit a number of hills around this area. Climbing up the hills will reward you with breathtaking views of the Mountain Rwenzori ranges. drive to Fort Portal where you will have your lunch before finally arriving at the recently Tooro Kingdom palace situated on Kabarole hill. There you will be briefly detailed about the history of the Tooro Kingdom before driving on to the Karambi tombs where the 3 past rulers of this Kingdom were buried. following a cultural interaction with the people of Tooro, you will head to your lodge for dine and the overnight.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National park following breakfast, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park where you will track chimpanzees. This activity begins at 8 o’clock in the morning and could take up most of the day. Some of the other primates that could be seen here are: grey cheeked Mangabeys, L’Hoest monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, Black and white Colobus and the Blue tailed monkeys. This forest is as well blessed with a thick forest cover that hosts several birds, insects as well as butterflies. Your tour guide will help you identify the different tree species as well as offer you factual information therefore making this walk not only enjoyable but informative as well. After your Lunch continue to the stunning Bigodi swamp an eco-tourism site where you will have a nature walk. This nature walk is a great opportunity for viewing the various bird species. From dere you will return to your lodge for dinner and the overnight

Day 6: Kibale-Queen Elizabeth following your breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park that is mainly mostly a savanna park. Along the way, you will have an opportunity of taking very beautiful photos of Mountain Rwenzori also commonly referred to as ‘the Mountains of the Moon”. Have lunch in the town of Kasese before finally arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will Take some unforgettable photos just as you make your way to the park main gate. In the afternoon you will go for a thrilling launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see large schools of hippos, elephants plus lone hippos as well as various bird species. In the evening you will go for a game drive to see the evening grazers including different antelopes as they conclude the
