Kashan is my hometown! The most wonderful thing about this city is its historical artistic houses! In addition to great beautiful mosques, Kashan has more than 50 mind-blowing houses; some of them have been renewed and turned into sweet local hotels.
Unless you are an architecture researcher or specialist, I don't recommend visiting more than 4 or 5 houses as they will be almost the same in architecture. As an alternative to visiting all the available architectural houses, we can spend our time in some historical tombs, mosques, and bath! I also recommend ancient 'Sialk Hills' which is an archaeological site built around the 3000 BC!

*** Please consider that Kashan is located in an extremely hot and dry region. So, do your best to avoid visiting this city from June to August (which is summer time in Iran). However, if you have to, you can stay in amazing historical houses during the day and go for site seeing at night.
