“Everest Base Camp Trek – An Epitome of Wilderness Adventure”

Everest Base Camp Trek is the most fascinating and adventurous journey up in the Himalayas towards the lap of world’s tallest mountain Mt. Everest (8848 m). The journey encompasses more than 30 different snowcapped mountains including 4 top ten Himalayas. Lhotse (8516 m), Makalu (8463 m) and Choyou (8201 m) are other mountains within top ten pinnacles apart from Everest which can be seen during the trek.

The route is more than just mountain wilderness rather the trip is exploration of intrepid Sherpa community. The detour of Everest Base Camp Trek is equally diverse naturally and culturally. Monasteries and Sherpa hamlets along the way endow spirituality while the temperate – alpine forests endow serenity. Behold the majestic landscape of Himalayas-hills-valley in one frame while traversing through villages, forests, moraines, passes and glaciers.

To leave your footprints at the lap of Mt. Everest alongside the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay who first scaled Mt. Everest back in 1953. Make a momentous and legendary event of your life by being at the Everest Base Camp within Khumbu region of Nepal.

The time between February – May and September – December is considered as an ideal time for this walking holiday. The trip starts in Lukla after the joyous mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The route is well defined and the itinerary is prepared scientifically by the expert travel planners. Enough acclimatization breaks and gentle walking (6 Hrs a day or less) would help overcome the Everest Base Camp Trek successfully. If you can walk 6 hours a day, you can do this trek (including a couple of relaxation days with some walking for acclimatization). You can always add a porter which can be split between 2 people as a porter can carry up to 25 kgs.
